A no compromise race sail, build specific for competition and high speed racing. The real meaning of steroids on water.
Development:
AC-1 LTD II
In February 2009 Point-7 will be introducing the next generation of the AC-1 race sail;
Based on the experience obtained over the 2008 race season; the new line-up comprises a massive amount of new changes made to the construction of the sail and in design, featuring a new sail head, deeper profile, new cambers, upgraded inner mast sleeve structure and leach opening. The top of the sail has been modified to have a more compact head section, which during testing has shown an improvement in aerodynamics and stability.
The leach has been completely redesigned maximizing acceleration, high wind stability whilst reducing backhand pressure to a minimum. The mast side of the sail shows a stronger and more durable inner mast sleeve construction, along with the introduction of a new camber for best possible rotation of the sail body.
The new cambers have been fixed on a stainless steel metal brace, securing the structural integrity of the sail and is angled in perfect 90 degrees to the mast for an optimal surface contact easing the rotation. The result is never ending acceleration which will blast the competition.
Mast Development: The C1 mast range has been improved with the use of new and better carbon materials resulting a faster reflex and better durability, all ensuring the optimal performance of your entire rig.

Features:
New cam and components:
Alternate battens: Same profile on both sides adding a better compact feeling to the sail.
Wide mast sleeve: Optimum profile to assure max acceleration and stability.
Slalom - 8 battens | Formula - 9 battens: 3 piece battens to offer a homogenous profile.
Clew Cut Out: Direct acceleration due to a more balanced leach.
Full X-ply Kevlar reinforcements: The sail has been designed without any compromise on the construction. Having high quality will allow riders to have no equipment failure and take home the result.
Full moulded 3d protections: The sail is highly protected at all points from usage thanks to all rubber protections
100% anti -UV resistant material: No transparent monofilm for assuring long durability to the main material used for the sail: (Orange tinted window, Black anti UV material).
Mast options:
SDM used on all sizes from 6.7 to 12.5
RDM used on sizes from 5.0 to 5.8.
Ideal: C-1
