To build a sail with enough power and upwind ability to get you out of any jeopardy zone when wave riding in onshore conditions with less than perfect wind.

Development:

The SADO develops more drive and power than any other of our sails. The luff curve and profile of the sail delivers plenty of power and acceleration for any condition. The aimed pressure point secures optimal stability in gusty wind whilst the free rotation of the sail body around the mast permits for faster handling without having to pull the sail body over on the other side of the mast.

Features:

-Black anti UV material

-Orange tinted window, UV resistant

-5 battens

-X-ply used in parts of the sail for extra strength and durability

-Vario top for better mast compatibility.

Mast options:

SDM / RDM all sizes

Ideal: C-1, C-7, C-5

Trimming and Tuning:

1. Insert mast straight through into the luff sleeve.  Move to boom opening area for easier insertion of the mast on last meter of the luff pocket. Do not force.

2. Set the base by using the P7 pro tuning design. Place your base on the marks placed on the foot of the sail and take reference from the drawing on exact position of your base ring.

3. Pull downhaul leaving 1cm to the end.

4. Set boom according to recommended length and place it on mast.  Attach the end of the boom to the clew and set some out haul as advised. 2 cm negative boom settings are appreciated by the sail for better comfort in all conditions.

5. Adjust batten tension as explained above.

Downhaul:

Pull downhaul as instructed. All measurements have been taken so that the downhaul pulley has to go all the way down to the pulleys of the base. For some sails 1cm space is left between the 2 pulleys: check measurements on the tack of the sail. This will get you better acceleration even in low end winds.

Sado Outhaul tip:

Keep the sail as neutral as possible on the boom. Not negative or positive tension. This will give its best setting at all times. In case the wind increases the clew can be pulled tighter even by 2-3cm according to pressure desired.
